Mission Statement

We believe that physical fitness is important for a healthy life. Too many of the youth today are not physically fit. We are striving to change that within our community. Our goal at Dragon Heart is to build self-esteem, confidence, respect, manners, integrity and honor in our students while supplying a steady source of exercise. All the codes and tenets of the martial arts are reviewed on a regular basis and recited at the end of every class.

Narrative Purpose

The purpose of Dragon Heart Foundation is to help low income youth, adult, handicapped, and the at risk population in our community to have good physical health and to learn the tenets of the Martial Arts for a better community and society at large.

Martial Arts have been around for thousands of years and have essentially been teaching the same lessons for life. One should strive to have integrity in every aspect of their life. One should strive for self~confidence and self~esteem in order to achieve every goal set. Respect for others through respect for oneself has been a basic premise in Martial Arts training. Good physical health falls in the category of being respectful to oneself.

The Dragon Heart Foundation would like to be able to fund the students monthly training fee, uniform, participation in tournaments and clinics as well as expenses for their travel to these events. In many cases these students have never traveled out of the area and this would give them a broader view of the world.
