Thanks to All...!

Posted: 07/12/10

We wish to thank everyone who attended the July 10th, 2010 special Saturday Matinee showing of "Karate Kid" at the Garberville Theatre. We hope you enjoyed our pre-show live demonstration as much as we enjoyed presenting it. We'll be returning to the theatre for more special live perfomances when films of a martial arts nature are to be shown. Your generous contributions benefit the Maggie Butterworth Training Scholarship Fund for low income / underprivileged students that wish to train at Dragon Heart. Again, we very much appreciate your attendance and support.

Watch for announcements here, or log onto the www.garbervilletheatre.com "News & Events" page for periodic updates on future events!

Creativity Division 1st Place Winners!
Posted: 07/02/2009

This is our demo team’s winning performance at this year’s Region One Regional Championship held in Garberville on May 23rd, 2009. This team works year round under the direction of the captain, Kisa Rupp. Kisa choreographs, does the music, and designs the costumes for the team. She came up with the concept of a professional style demo team and turned it into her 6,000 word “ how to” essay for her 3rd degree black belt test.  She has been running our teams for 5 years and they have won the Regional Creativity Division for 5 years in a row.  We are sad to see Kisa move to Portland but wish her well on her life’s journey to becoming a video game designer. Her replacement as captain of the team is 3 year veteran Meredyth Phillips.
